Beyond the Operating Room: Personalized Care for Active Living

Introducing Matthew Mosura, MD, a highly respected Shreveport-Bossier native and leader in Interventional Pain Management. From the outset of his medical training, Dr. Mosura excelled in procedure-based medicine, making anesthesia a natural fit for his skills.

Although he enjoyed his time in the operating room, he found himself missing the personal interactions of a clinic setting. After completing his anesthesiology residency, he discovered that interventional pain management perfectly blended his procedural expertise with his passion for patient care. His fellowship at MD Anderson in Houston was a pivotal step, yet his deep ties to family and friends drew him back home to the Shreveport-Bossier community.

Dr. Mosura’s primary goal is to help patients regain their activity levels through a balanced, multimodal approach that may include medication management, physical therapy, and injections.

He profoundly believes in the importance of his work, stating, “I truly believe we treat a special group of patients that much of the medical world would prefer to ignore. I think pain and how to treat it scares many physicians, and that spills over to the patient and, ultimately, the care they receive. On the other hand, we at FLEX understand that pain is real and needs real treatments and real compassionate care.”

At FLEX, Dr. Mosura is dedicated to offering real solutions with genuine compassion, ready to guide patients on their journey to improved health and well-being.

Despite the challenges of his work, Dr. Mosura finds joy and energy in his family life. He shares his life with his wife, Krista, and their two sons, remaining actively involved in their church and community. In his downtime, Dr. Mosura cherishes hunting and fishing with his sons or embarking on outdoor adventures as a family.
